The Chalet
In the recreational area of Fügen, you'll find a romantic little vacation cottage - Chalet Waldwinkl. It is hidden on a small hill near a forest playground that is freely accessible. Although the chalet is secluded in the forest, the center of Fügen, as well as the toboggan run or the valley station of the Spieljochbahn, can be reached comfortably on foot in just 10 minutes.

Our Philosophy
Chalet Waldwinkl is a peaceful refuge, far from city stress, surrounded by forests and meadows. It offers a rare, secluded retreat where you can breathe pure mountain air and enjoy the luxury of our mountain spring. Whether in summer or winter, the chalet is the perfect place for cozy fireside moments, secluded celebrations, and stargazing. Children of all ages can explore nature, from roasting marshmallows over a self-built campfire to snowball fights in deep snow or playing at the forest playground. Chalet Waldwinkl is the ideal destination for those seeking to satisfy their wanderlust in nature, escape everyday stress, and spend undisturbed quality time with loved ones. We look forward to welcoming you!

Accommodation
The property, situated on 1022 m² of land, includes two buildings, a small stream, a fire pit, and a large sunny terrace.

The main house, a combination of wood and brick, offers approximately 70m² of space, including:

Kitchen with a refrigerator with a small freezer, microwave, dishes, cooking utensils (kettle, coffee machine, etc.), electric stove, and an additional wood-burning stove

Bathroom with a toilet, shower, bathtub, and a washing machine with an integrated dryer

Dining room with a corner bench

Living room with a television, pull-out couch for two people, and a wood-burning stove

Attic with a large 4x2m bed and 2 skylights

Additionally, there are electric heating and a gas oven for cold days

Naturally, there is Wi-Fi and various board games

The second house, a low-energy wooden house, offers approximately 58m² of space, including:

Kitchen with a refrigerator and a small freezer, electric stove, dishes, and cooking utensils (kettle, coffee machine, etc.)

Common area with a dining area, couch, television, and board games

Bathroom with a toilet, shower, bathtub, and a washing machine with an integrated dryer

One bedroom with a bunk bed for 2 people

Explore Zillertal
Discover skiing, dining, culture, and relaxation. From 'Spieljoch' ski paradise to local restaurants and cultural events, find your adventure in Zillertal.
Adventures:

The Zillertal is known worldwide for its diverse activities and attractions, from extensive ski, climbing, and hiking areas to the "Hintertux Glacier" with its ice caves. However, the closest is the "Spieljoch."
"Spieljoch" is a paradise for skiing, snowboarding, and sledding, as well as offering numerous hiking opportunities. It is an area with minimal or no waiting times at lifts and slopes. The winter toboggan run passes right by the chalet, and the summer toboggan run is slightly above at Goglhof.
Dining Options:

If you don't feel like cooking in our chalet, you have options ranging from the gourmet restaurant "Landgasthof Linde" in Stumm to the many traditional restaurants and guesthouses found in almost every village. Highly recommended are the restaurant at "Kohlerhof" and "Kosis" in Fügen. For a spectacular view, visit "Goglhof," located above our Waldwinkl, although it's a bit of a hike. It's worth it! Something unique is offered by "Sichtbar" in the Binder Sawmill, including a tour of wood history and processing if desired.
Culture:

If you happen to be in the area at the right time, you might catch a traditional procession or the cattle drive. The "Gauder Fest," a beer festival with centuries of tradition, is very popular among guests. The Zillertaler Schürzenjäger have attracted tens of thousands with their concerts in the past. Events such as brunches, open-air weekends, fan walks, or torchlit hikes make your vacation a true holiday.

Nearby in Fügen, the 'Erlebnistherme Zillertal' offers extensive wellness and spa facilities, including saunas, steam baths, and pools with a winter ice skating rink. Families can enjoy horse-drawn sleigh rides, Zillertal Railway trips, and the Natural Ice Palace. Adults can explore the Swarovski Crystal Worlds, Schwaz Silver Mine, and the Planetarium.
