Skiing Areas
Zillertal is known worldwide for its diverse activities and attractions. From the extensive ski, climbing and hiking areas to the „Hintertuxer Gletscher“ with its ice caves. However, the closest skiing area is the „Spieljoch“.
The “Spieljoch” is a skiing, snowboarding and tobogganing paradise. But it also offers many opportunities for hiking. It is an area with little or no waiting time by train and slope. The winter toboggan run passes close to the chalet; the summer toboggan run is slightly above the Goglhof.

Restaurants:
If you do not feel like cooking for yourself, you can visit the award-winning restaurant „Landgasthof Linde“ in Stumm or one of the many home-style cooking restaurants and inns that can be found in almost every village. Highly recommended are the restaurant „Kohlerhof“ and the „Kosis“ in Fügen. The lookout „Goglhof“, above our Waldwinkl is also very promising even though the hike is pretty long but definitely worth it! The „Sichtbar“ in Binder Sägewerk also offers something special: If desired, there’s a with guidance through the wood history and processing.
Culture
If one is in the country in due course, perhaps a traditional procession or the Almabtrieb is taking place. „Gauder Fest “, a beer festival with several hundred years of tradition, is very popular with guests. In the past the Zillertal Schürzenjäger have lured tens of thousands into their valley with their concerts. Events such as brunch, open air weekends or fan or torchlight hikes will transform your holiday into a real holiday.

Thermal Spa:
If you are looking for relaxation, you can take advantage of the wide range of SPA facilities that Zillertal offers. The „Erlebnistherme Zillertal“ is located directly in Fügen near the chalet. The spa not only has a variety of saunas with its own infusion philosophies, but of course a foggy steam bath, a relaxing tepidarium, various plunge pools, relaxation rooms, solariums and in winter even a skating rink. There are also exciting swimming and action pools with waves, a lazy river, an outdoor area and the longest water slide in western Austria.
There’s so much more that can be experienced. Especially families with children can get their money’s worth: take horse-drawn sleigh rides or a tour on the “Zillertalbahn”, explore the Nature Ice Palace, ride the Arena Coaster …
At the Swarovski Crystal Worlds even the eyes of adults will shine.
Although these are not directly in Zillertal, they are worth to be visited. If you are on your way, you can visit the “Schwazer Silberbergwerg” and the planetarium.
